Finally checking files in!


After being buried in Blender much of the past two weeks – but it’s finally time to check the models and animations we’ve created into the project! There’s now a custom character with custom fins/mask/snorkel that swims using custom animations – the first real steps towards a game filled with our own assets (which is a *huge* deal from our perspective)!

We have done a lot of this previously with FAB and Mixamo assets – so it wasn’t all new – but it has definitely been challenging getting new models to work the first time. We also added a Niagara emitter to test blowing bubbles… but had to put it on the snorkel instead of a regulator (since we haven’t gotten that far yet!) to do a proof of concept. There’s still a few bugs to work out, but we are definitely happy with this as a start.

The goal is still to get all major systems built and a vertical slice / intro segment built 1Q 2026 to share alongside our planned Kickstarter campaign and MegaGrant proposal.
