Short one tonight…

I know I have been pretty quiet. It has been:

• Consolidate multiple different assets from multiple different projects into one
• Clean up code to function as it should
• Make code more efficient
• Add comments and reorganize
• Validate code still works as it should
• Attempt to build the project
• Cry at the lines of red. De-bug until the red goes away.
• Validate that the code still works as it should.
• Build the project
• Attempt to validate the files for check-in
• Cry at the lines of red. De-but until the red goes away.
• Validate that the code still works as it should.
• Build the project.
• Validate the files for check-in
• Check-in the files to Perforce
• Revel in the success
• Move on to the next thing and repeat the process.

It is painful. It is slow. It is humbling.

On the other hand, I am definitely growing as a developer.

I have a trip coming up and am going to take a break – don’t want to bring the computer, and I need to focus on where I will be. I may do some work with our community, but the project itself will be on a little break. It is all good – doing some research (will share more when I get back).
